Community Guidelines

To maintain a family-friendly environment, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Play and Explore: Enjoy the game, assist others, and remember to take real-world breaks.
  2. No Harassment: All players deserve respect.
  3. No Swearing: Maintain a clean and respectful language.
  4. No Griefing: Respect others’ creations.
  5. No Dating: This server is not for romantic pursuits.
  6. No Sharing Personal Information: Keep personal details private.
  7. No Spam: Refrain from sending repetitive or meaningless messages.
  8. No Excessive Use of Caps: Avoid typing in all capital letters.
  9. No Inappropriate Content: Ensure all content is family-friendly.
  10. No Impersonation: Do not pretend to be someone else.

These guidelines apply to all platforms, including Discord. Staff decisions are final. This list is not exhaustive, and other behaviors may result in penalties.

Aurelium is a sandbox server without a defined linear gameplay. It allows players to experiment with Minetest’s full capabilities.

Privileges

We are pleased to provide our visitors with a variety of capabilities. These are determined by three factors: 1) the individual’s preferences, 2) their abilities, and 3) their interactions with staff and other players. Over time, we may grant additional privileges to players. This is based on the level of trust they’ve established, their demonstrated abilities, and their personal interests.

Our system operates like a meritocracy, meaning privileges are earned based on merit, not favoritism. We don’t grant privileges to individuals simply because they are ‘friends’. Instead, we grant them to anyone who has proven they can responsibly handle them. The time it takes to earn these privileges can vary greatly from player to player.

If you feel you’ve been overlooked for additional privileges, please bring it to our attention respectfully. However, please understand that privileges are not granted immediately upon joining. Patience and consistent, positive participation are key to earning them.

Tools

There are some special tools that will be ‘given’ in a manner similar to the privileges above. These tools can include but are not limited to adminpicks, adminboots, and other specialty items that are rarely given anywhere else.

Gameplay

The point is to encourage discovery, creativity, collaboration and just plain fun. However, different people have different ideas of fun, so harassment, theft, scam and other types of abuse will not be tolerated. Those players who engage in these actions will see their privileges revoked or end up banned.

Dev Server

The development server (AKA: Dev, or Dev Server) is a separate server with a copy of the main map database in an unstable testing environment. The map is regularly refreshed with a backup from the production server. DO NOT BUILD on dev, unless the intent is purely to test stuff out because you will lose it eventually. The server is not always publicly available, so you may or may not be able to access it.
